Welcome, creatures of the night, to Monster Mansion: The Masquerade!

Tonight, you step into a world shrouded in mist and mystery – a grand estate where shadows dance, secrets whisper, and ancient rivalries simmer beneath a thin veil of civility.

We find ourselves in Valemont Manor, ancestral seat of vampire nobility and the historic site of the yearly Masquerade — an elite, invitation-only gathering meant to preserve the delicate truce between the vampire clans and their werewolf rivals.

But this year… the air is thicker than usual with tension and intrigue.

Only days ago, Lord Lucien Valemont, patriarch of the Valemont bloodline, was found staked in his own conservatory.

His death has sent shockwaves through both vampire and werewolf courts.

Some whisper of an ancient feud rekindled. Others suspect betrayal.

And tonight, his will is to be read aloud — a will that names a single heir, with a single catch:

Only the heir who survives the night shall inherit.

So beware, dear guests… for while you drink, dance, and deceive, know that danger stalks these candlelit halls.

And with that being said, at the end of the night, three more of you will be dead.

HOW THE GAME WORKS

The game is a Freeplay (mingle-style) murder mystery, which means each guest is assigned a unique character. You’ll send out a Character Guide to every player, filled with secrets, objectives, and relationships that drive the drama.

As the night unfolds, guests mingle in character, ask questions, share clues (or lies!), and try to solve the 3 unfolding murders that happen during the game. At the end, everyone casts their vote for who they think the killer is – right before the dramatic final reveal.

There are no strict scripts to follow and no complex rules, so even first-timers can jump right in!
As the host, you don’t need to memorize anything or stay behind the scenes. My easy-to-follow Host Guide walks you through everything step by step. And yes – you can absolutely play along without knowing who the killer is (or peek at the included spoilers if that’s your jam). The killer is a secret to everyone – even the killer themselves – for a truly immersive, spoiler-free experience.

  • Voting Cards: Print these out and let your guests (and yourself) take a guess at the killer and the motives at the end of the game
