Welcome to the Speakeasy: The Velvet Clover!

The city’s underground circles are reeling from the shocking news of Vincent “Vinnie” Moretti’s untimely death, just days before he was set to host a lavish party at his speakeasy, The Velvet Clover.
Moretti, a shrewd businessman with rumored ties to the underworld, had recently acquired a highly coveted bottle of whiskey – supposedly once owned by the infamous Al Capone.

The celebration, which was to be a highlight for the city’s elite, now hangs in the balance. The mysterious circumstances surrounding Moretti’s death have only fueled speculation and whispers of foul play.
Despite the tragedy, The Velvet Clover will still open its doors for the exclusive event, with guests expected to toast in Vinnie’s memory.

But with tensions high and secrets bubbling to the surface the night promises more than just a tribute – it could turn into a deadly game of cat and mouse. Will the truth behind Vinnie’s death be revealed, or will it remain buried alongside him?

This game is perfect for a house party with friends, a birthday party with family, a bridal shower or any party in between!

Ladies and gents, dolls and dappers welcome to The Velvet Clover.

Tonight, the wiskey is cold, the jazz is hot, and the secrets? Well… they’re deadly.

You’ve stepped back in time to the roaring 1920s – an age of prohibition, power, and high-stakes hustle. Behind the glimmer of flapper dresses and the gleam of polished shoes lies a world of backroom deals, illicit liquor, and whispered betrayals. And tonight, murder is on the menu.

The Velvet Clover may look like just another underground speakeasy, but behind its velvet curtains, something sinister is brewing…

Someone in this room is hiding more than just bootleg booze.

With that being said, by the end of tonight, three of you will be dead.

HOW THE GAME WORKS

The game is a Freeplay (mingle-style) murder mystery, which means each guest is assigned a unique character. You’ll send out a Character Guide to every player, filled with secrets, objectives, and relationships that drive the drama.

As the night unfolds, guests mingle in character, ask questions, share clues (or lies!), and try to solve the 3 unfolding murders that happen during the game. At the end, everyone casts their vote for who they think the killer is – right before the dramatic final reveal.

There are no strict scripts to follow and no complex rules, so even first-timers can jump right in!
As the host, you don’t need to memorize anything or stay behind the scenes. My easy-to-follow Host Guide walks you through everything step by step. And yes – you can absolutely play along without knowing who the killer is (or peek at the included spoilers if that’s your jam). The killer is a secret to everyone – even the killer themselves – for a truly immersive, spoiler-free experience.

  • Voting Cards: Print these out and let your guests (and yourself) take a guess at the killer and the motives at the end of the game
