This darkly funny, highly interactive Classic Gothic Halloween-themed murder mystery party game is an evidence-based, multiple murder mingling game for 8 to 20 players that you can play right at home!

Welcome to Who Killed Doctor Frankenstein?

High on the hill above Grimhollow broods Frankenstein Manor, where the most brilliant and most dreadful man the region ever produced was found lifeless in his own laboratory. Nobody was ever caught for it.

Tonight the household throws open the doors for The Wake, and everyone the doctor ever built, wronged, or owed money to comes climbing the hill in their funeral best.

They are here for The Will. Sealed years ago and read by no living soul, it hands the manor to a single name, along with The Spark: the doctor’s own method for calling the dead back to life. Whoever is named does not simply inherit a draughty old house. They inherit the power to raise the dead.

So the creations come down from the upper floors, the family arrive with their claims polished, the old staff bring up what they were promised, and half of Grimhollow turns out to see the cursed place finally emptied.

Nobody made that climb purely to grieve…

Three of tonight’s mourners will not live to hear their names read, and the one who struck the doctor down is standing right there in the crowd, holding a glass and grieving as loudly as anyone in the room.

Every guest has a motive. Only one has already killed for it, and they are nowhere near finished.

This game is perfect for a Halloween night, a birthday, a bachelorette, a work social, or any gathering where you want your guests talking to each other all evening!

Come in out of the storm. The door swings shut behind you on its own, and it never much cares who is still outside. But to all of you who made it up that hill, welcome to Frankenstein Manor.

Mind the third step, it has a habit of moving. Take a glass, and try not to stare at the seams on the guest beside you. Tonight The Manor throws its doors open for The Wake of Dr. Frankenstein, the most brilliant and most dreadful soul this district ever produced, and everyone he built, wronged, or borrowed from has climbed the hill to pay respects.

But we all know… not one of you came up here for the grieving.

HOW THE GAME WORKS

The game is a Freeplay mingle-style murder mystery, which means each guest is assigned a unique character. You’ll send out a Character Guide to every player, filled with secrets, objectives, and relationships that drive the drama.

As the night unfolds, guests mingle in character, ask questions, share clues or lies, and try to solve the 3 unfolding murders that happen during the game. At the end, everyone casts their vote for who they think the killer is, right before the dramatic final reveal.

There are no strict scripts to follow and no complex rules, so even first-timers can jump right in!
As the host, you don’t need to memorize anything or stay behind the scenes. My easy-to-follow Host Guide walks you through everything step by step. And yes, you can play along without knowing who the killer is. Or peek at the included spoilers if that’s your jam. The killer is a secret to everyone, even the killer themselves.
