My Evidence-Based Freeplay Murder Mystery Games
With my collection of evidence based 10-20 player mingling murder mysteries, there is only one solution and one killer – and in most multiple murders.
If you do not want to know who the killer is before the game ends, it is essential that you don’t open the file labelled “The Reveal”.
This is the only place where the killer is revealed unless you manage to work it out yourself from the evidence and character answers.
Avoiding spoilers
It can be really exciting when you first receive your murder mystery game, and the urge to look through the materials can be overwhelming. But if you want to keep the ending a mystery, don’t look at everything! You can still read through the “Host Guide”, the extras, and the “Character Overview”, but don’t look through the “Character Cards” where all the character bios, including motives and secrets are listed.
Or… Spoil It If You Want!
Some hosts prefer to have prior knowledge of the killer’s identity to assign the role to a specific individual among their friends or family.
If you want to know who the killer is, simply read “The Reveal” document. There the killers name will be written upside down at the end of the page (to avoid you accedentially reading it while printing).
You can even reveal to the person you give the character to, that they are the murderer if you wish – the choice is entirely yours. Just be sure that they are able to keep a secret and not spoil it for the whole party.
Remember, as the host, you have the freedom to play the game your way!
Your enjoyment is my top priority, as you are the one investing in the game, organizing the event, and providing snacks. If you have any questions about gameplay or anything else, consult the host guide, explore my blog, and feel free to reach out to me directly whenever needed.
